NOW ON SUNDAY: 'INSIDE OC' LANDS CHOICE PBS TIME SLOT

Laguna Beach, CA (Aug 28, 2017) – "Inside OC with Rick Reiff," Orange County's weekly public affairs program, has landed a coveted news slot – Sunday at 5 PM - on PBS SoCal.

The show will be the lead-in to "PBS NewsHour Weekend" at the new time, effective Sunday, Sept. 3. "Inside OC" has previously aired on Tuesday at 1 AM.

PBS SoCal, the flagship PBS station in the Los Angeles market, said it is "introducing new series and providing better time slots for some existing programs" in a scheduling revamp aimed at providing "more robust" coverage of news, public affairs, science, technology and the environment.

"This is good news for Orange County and for community programming," Reiff said. "This means our show will reach more viewers in OC and throughout the region."

Inside OC will continue to air multiple times weekly on PBS SoCal's secondary channel, PBS SoCal 2, on Cox3 (Orange County and Palos Verdes), on Cox4SD (San Diego) and on commercial station KDOC. All shows are also posted on YouTube.

At the same time, PBS SoCal has canceled its regional show "Studio SoCal" but will soon begin development of a new public affairs program.

"While this ends a show ('Studio SoCal') I've co-hosted the past three years, it leaves more time to devote to a more visible Inside OC," Reiff said.
